Eep
Ach, over a month since I posted, eh?
Very sorry for that ladies and gents, I don't even have a decent excuse for not posting. The funny thing is though that I have two posts just lying around as drafts. I guess I should kick myself into finishing those.
In the meantime however, I come with art as a peace offering!
This particular piece has been lying around on my hard drive since... November or December last year if I recall. I just didn't get back to it until now for some reason.
There are probably a whole host of things wrong with it, but it ended up being my relaxation piece after bashing my head against a commission so I couldn't be arsed to do it "properly". D=
Art exchange W.i.P.
I haven't fallen off the face of the earth yet. Just been busy with trying to get a job, losing internet, my wacom suddenly stopped working and generally doing other things™.
After spending about half of what was the last of my savings on a new wacom I can finally start drawing again. Still slightly slow, but yeah, getting there. My current project is this months art exchange, just to get it out of the way.

Nightambre's Jaerda, night elf hunter.
Still haven't added the pets' teeth (don't ask me why, I don't know either), working on those scars and will be tweaking the general shapes of the pets' heads.
At least I'm arting!
Art Exchange final
For once I actually stuck to my original idea, which is odd in itself.
Done for the Valentine's Day themed February exchange at the WoW Art Exchange community on LiveJournal. Ormolu's character Rosewyn Bree Telri and Rose's husband Xidane Telri.
Not 100% happy, but then again, I never am. At least it looks somewhat decent.
I think I do need to experiment with colors more, see if I can get to grips with it as I'm very clunky still.
Art exchange WiP

Work in progress for this months WoW Art Exchange. Due to Valentine's day this month has an optional couple theme.
And as I recently found a wealth of great couple stock photos on DA I had to go ahead with it.
Posting the WiP as I rather like this stage of it, and in case I go bananas and change the entire thing later (it has been known to happen, all too often).
Also, hands will be the bane of me.
Art dump
Firstly a little something that I've forgotten to post.
When I were packing for moving over to Ireland I realized that the bag I had previously used was a tad small so I ended up buying a new one. It's quite a refreshing color, as it's a sunny orange as opposed to the usual dark blue or black bags. This sparked my creativity and after a bit of searching through mom's drawers I found a dark blue permanent marker and got to work.
By now it's slightly smudged as the permanent marker apparently didn't take to the surface too well. Still, I'm bound to find my bag amongst others!
Now, onto the "real" art. I've been sketching more the last few days than I have in years... Sketching never was a strong point of mine, I tend to always skip the doodling and sketching and jump straight into trying to do a finished piece. Which is very backwards, but it's been hard to change as it's such an old habit.
I did get a figurative kick in the shins when my friend Kaeshan asked me to draw some comic ideas he had. As I've never drawn comics properly before and I suck at likeness and keeping my characters consistent I figured if I ever was going to start sketching, now would be the time. In the end, I didn't sketch as much of the comic characters as I probably should have, but it actually does feel pretty good to do some loose stuff for once.
David, sorry for abusing your poor Chapter Master D=
