Shepard of the Galaxy
I’m finally done!
For those of you who follow me on twitter/tumblr/instagram, you might’ve seen the progress pictures. I’ve been slaving away at this for about two-three weeks now and after having had to push the release of the last episode of my Let’s Play Mass Effect 3 series one week I’m finally done.
This is in a way my farewell gesture to my Katelyn Shepard, while it still isn’t.
I had this composition sitting around in my sketchbook since I played the last bit of the game somewhere in October or something like that. While it didn’t turn out quite the way I wanted it to, it turned out better than I hoped halfway through. I was reeeally close to just giving up when I got to the halfway point and was tossing colors onto it.
When I showed it to my friends and my BF at that stage they all basically said “OMG awesome!”, but I haaated it. I did manage to salvage it into something that I can be halfway happy with at least though, so I guess it’s all good in the end? =O
I am rather pleased with how Zaeed, Grunt, Wrex and Garrus turned out though. Goes to show, I’ve painted pretty ladies for most of my life but apparently my forté is old men and aliens. 😉
Below is the playlist for the Let’s Play series for anyone that’s interested!
